It is my true pleasure to present the fruits of my labor and reveal what I've been working on for the last 10 months. Today, which also happens to be my birthday, I release to the world my most recent full length album called Cloisters Apocalypse. A heavily themed, epic, and cinematic sounding album that I am very proud to share with the world.
This is a very special project to me and something I have been struggling with bringing to reality for close to a year now. It began in Bolivia, it continued in Colorado, then in Alaska, and the project itself has traveled the world with me to be able to find the right collaborators to make the dream possible. I knew from the very start that I had already bit off more than I could chew but with the immense help of friends and fellow musicians Cloisters Apocalypse is now a completed project ready for you to enjoy with me.
There is so much symbolism baked in these tracks. Some obvious and some that I have put in there just for me to enjoy. The project itself was inspired by the French illuminated manuscript "Cloisters Apocalypse" created by a French monk (or monks) in the 14th century. Although the original work revolves around the biblical idea of the apocalypse I wanted to take this concept into the modern era and put sounds and words and meaning to it from the current state of our world and the interpretation of a shattering world in the time between the 14th century and today.
At the core of the project stands the four horsemen of the apocalypse represented through the greek deities by name. However, at both its beginning and end there is hope (if one decides to interpret it as such) as portrayed and represented by the patron saint of musicians and creators as well as a siren from greek mythology and Homer's epic poem Odyssey.
At a later time I will take the time to tell you the full story about making this album as well as of the detailed symbolism it contains. However, at this time I'm just so very very excited to share the finished work that I will let it present itself. Below you'll find a track listing, the album art, as well as links to where it is streaming. Please enjoy my music! I'm eternally honored to be able to continue creating music. Not only for myself (as that is always the primary purpose) but also for anyone else that it may reach and touch as it does me.
